We are excited to share with you this video.
Amazing projects that the Rotary Club of Kirinyaga has
been working on in various schools in the region. We have visited
Raimu School, Kiambatha School, Gakoigo School, Kerugoya School
for the deaf, and Kiandangae School, and we have been able to make
a positive impact on the lives of the students and teachers.
We helped with renovations such as floor tiling, building toilets, water storage tanks, ramps for the disabled, setting up green houses, and promoting education through study materials and study desks which emporwered the students.
We are grateful to all our members, partners, and volunteers who have made these projects possible. We are also proud of the students and teachers who have welcomed us with open arms and shown us their enthusiasm and appreciation.

Annual Medical Camp as we celebrated World Polio Day.

Disease Prevention & Treatment

in the last four years been able to facilitate treatment
of more than 7,000 patients.
Maternal Health
The Rotary Club of Kirinyaga in partnership with the County Department of Health
and a number of sponsors, notably KTDA Region III, Zone 5 conducts a medical Camp in Kirinyaga
every October, Global breast Awareness month. by doing so, the Club supports the department
of Health to conduct and conducts screening, maternal health and other priority conditions in the County.

Community Development
Kadawa Community Water Project
Kadawa is located in South Ngariama, a relatively drier area in the south-eastern part of the County which was previously a government reserve land. Kadawa village is home to about 3,500 people who lead a subsistence life in small parcels of land. RC Kirinyaga proposes to drill boreholes and supply water to the residents and to the local primary school, through a solar-powered system. The water is meant to be used for domestic and livestock needs only, but not for irrigation. The project is estimated to cost Ksh. 11,400,000/= (USD 113,000).

Renovation of Special Unit Classes
In Kenya, it is the government policy that all primary schools include special unit classes in which children with various disabilities can attend. The classes in which these children learn is often not given high priority, resulting in many of them being in dilapidated conditions. Renovating of these classes and making them pleasnt environment for students and teachers is one way of showing them acceptance and improve learning.
Promoting Peace
We refuse to accept conflict as a way of life. Rotary
projects provide training that fosters understanding and provides
communities with the skills to resolve conflicts.

Drip Irrigation for Kibirigwi School
Kibirigwi School, school for the Mentally Handicapped Children, drip irrigation project was implemented in 2016 to enable the school to have a sustainable production of vegetables for consumption for the 80 Children, this was a Dstrict Designated Fund (DDF) project with our mother Club RC Nairobi South.
